Great Dixter and Designing with Plants

A talk by Fergus Garrett, Chief Executive Officer, Great Dixter Charitable Trust

Known throughout the horticultural world for his brilliance in gardening, his prolific garden writing and his passion for training the next generation of great gardeners, Fergus Garrett was for many years Christopher Lloyd’s head gardener at the amazing Great Dixter. A decade after Lloyd’s death, Fergus comes to the DIA to present what is happening in the ever-changing gardens at Great Dixter and to provide information on what Michigan gardeners can do to artfully change the design of their gardens. Prepare to be awed by the beauty of Great Dixter and by the experience and enthusiasm of its charismatic CEO.

Following the lecture, attendees are invited to a reception and book sale/signing. The lecture and reception are free with museum admission. To guarantee a seat, reserve a free ticket online at dia.org or through the DIA box office 313.833.4005. This lecture is sponsored by the DIA's Friends of Art & Flowers.
