Gerisch Middle School
Location:  12601 McCann, Southgate, MI 48195.  Off Northline Rd.  Northline is between Allen and Dix.

Details:  Startup Greenhouse program for students ages 12 to 13.   During enrichment, everyday from 9:30-10:05.  Our school has a new greenhouse that has not been used yet.  It was built by the high school trades program.  I am the 7th grade science teacher, and am interested in building a greenhouse program for the school.  I have a small budget to get started and need lots of help, in the form of expertise and labor!

Harms Elementary School Teaching Gardens, SW Detroit

Details:  Teaching garden in operation March to early December - activities related to garden.  Seasonal activities pertaining to garden in other months.  Wed. or Fri.:  3:00PM - 6:00PM, 3:00PM - 4:00PM or 4:00PM - 5:00PM

Pierce Middle School
Location:  25605 Orangelawn at Royal Grand, Redford.

Details:  The PTO has set aside funds for a landscape project on school property.  Volunteers are needed to work with a small group of students to start a garden.  Help is needed to plan for the appropriate plants, to direct planting and to assist in planting.
