June and August meetings are often picnics and/or field trips. The December
meeting is a volunteer recognition and awards banquet.
The business meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. The educational presentation
usually begins at 8:00 p.m. Before and after the meeting, members socialize
and enjoy snacks in a nearby room. Membership meetings are open to all
students (candidates or interns), paid Association members, and their
guests. Please join us!
Visit the
MGAWC Calendar for
meeting dates, speakers, topics, driving directions, and other MGAWC events.
The Master Gardener Association of Wayne County Board of Directors meets the
first Thursday of every month with some exceptions during the summer. Board
meetings are open to all members. The Board meets at 7:00 p.m. at the EIC.
If severe weather conditions force UM-D to close for evening classes, then
the MGAWC meeting that night will be cancelled. When UM-D has a snow day,
the notice is posted on their home page,
www.umd.umich.edu, and on their campus closure info line
recording, 313-436-9157.
