Robert and Lillian Klein

Robert Francis "Bob" Klein, 92, of Williamsburg, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 11, 2008, at Grand Traverse Pavilions.

Born June 16, 1916, in Detroit, he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Gnau) Klein.  On Jan. 21, 1950, at St. Mary’s of Redford Catholic Church in Detroit, he married the former Evangeline M. Rioux.

A veteran, Bob proudly served his country with the United States Navy during World War II.

While living in the Livonia area, Bob was very involved in his church and his community.

His passion in life was gardening, and he was a gifted master gardener.  He also enjoyed his membership in the Michigan Botanical Association.
