Unless you have a disability parking placard (official handicap parking permit issued by the Michigan Department of State), please do NOT park in front of the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC).  The only exception is short-term parking to drop off or pick up passengers or materials.  Violators will be ticketed by the UM-D Department of Public Safety.

Please park in the parking structure.  There is plenty of space in the structure in the evenings.  Visitor parking in the structure is free.

Carpooling is always encouraged.  If you share rides and the driver does not qualify for a disability parking placard (official handicap parking permit), please drop off passengers and then park in the structure.  The goal is to accommodate handicap parking while keeping the corner as free as possible for emergency vehicles to reach EIC and its occupants quickly in case of an emergency.  Your cooperation each month is greatly appreciated.
