Use proper practices for time in the sun to prevent skin cancer. Drs. Kartono and Legacy will cover basic skin anatomy, the relationship between sun exposure and skin cancer, and inspecting your skin, plus diagnosis and treatment options for sun-induced skin cancers.

In celebration of EIC’s long-term support of MGAWC activities, Cheryl will cover horticultural, medicinal and folkloric information about native trees during this guided walk in the UM-D Natural Areas. Presenter: Andy Torvinen of Perennial Accents will talk about hostas. A twenty-year gardener and practicing plant-a-holic, Andy describes himself as owner/hostage of his Royal Oak business. He is a founding member of the Metro Detroit Hosta Society, where he continues to serve on the board.
